My Enduring Prayers
I pray every night before I sleep. I pray for others and I pray for my own self-being. I pray for my Inner Light to grow brighter, so that I can self-illuminate my life path toward a Timeless Inner Peace. I pray that I would be reminded during the challenging times that there is no randomness in life.
I pray for me to recognize each challenge as a learning opportunity and an opportunity to apply The Teaching in real time. The challenging times shall pass. I pray to have the wisdom and compassion to discerningly navigate me onward and forward benevolently from the challenges. I pray to live in the here and now, to wholly appreciate the good times, and to take nothing for granted. The good times too are not random but a product of some previous positive actions. The good times shall too pass. I pray for my inner peace remain steady during the ebb and flow that is life. Nothing of this life is enduring.
Prayers are sacred and pure. Prayers are not meant for materialistic gains nor for one to cheat fate. Alas, I hear people praying for things beyond fate's control and beyond the context of the inevitable consequences.
How can one pray to pick an apple from a lemon tree that he/she already planted? If it were me, I would pray for wisdom and a good lemonade recipe at the lemon harvest. Additionally, I would pray to recognize the lemon harvest as an opportunity to share my lemonade with the thirsty, so that the end result is realistic, beneficial, and benevolent. Just roll with it and go with whatever should come along the way, and always do pass it forward positively. Prayers can help to enlighten and illuminate the path along The Way.
